Here is the INDISPUTABLE fact of what we’ve all made fun of: the number of shifts Vin Diesel makes when he’s drag racing this car against whoever (usually Brian). Are you ready? ARE YOU REALLY READY? Here it is:

It has three forward gears. That’s all. Three. First is at the bottom, second is obviously just above that, and then third. Then you have neutral, reverse, and park. Notice the “WTF!!” hand gesture I’m making. Not a 16 gear transmission?!?! WE’VE BEEN LIED TO!!

So I’ve been at the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction for most of the afternoon and saw many cool cars (write up on experience in a couple of days). This is BUT ONE of the many ridiculous dream cars that were up for sale for the right price, but they messed up on this one. It should have been listed as at least a 12 speed.

According to the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! on the website, it’s a four speed auto. But I saw it with my own eyes. LIES!!!

Yes, this is the actual car they used in the FATF movie.

Well obviously you’ve overlooked the Doug Nash manual 4 speed rear diff which isn’t in the picture. So each of those 3 gears has 4 ratios. Thus it’s basically a 12 speed.
